Come back after you watched "The Trap"
Please Rob Me: Hey, do you have a Twitter account? Have you ever noticed those messages in which people tell you where they are? Pretty annoying, eh. Well, they’re actually also potentially pretty dangerous. We’re about to tell you why.
(bla bla bla) SHOCKER! People will know you’re not at home when you tell them you are elsewhere. Logically they will instantly drive over, rape your cat, piss on your bed and steal your grandma (bla bla bla)
The goal of this website is to raise some awareness on this issue and have people think about how they use services like Foursquare, Brightkite, Google Buzz etc.
No guys. What you are doing is being douchey, paranoid, preachy, party-pooping know-it-alls, that presume others can’t count to five. Grats. Know what? The problem goes much deeper! All those people that don’t spend their time dicking around on the Internet from home, actually leave their houses pretty much every day! From 9 to 5! It’s called “going to work”. I had a hard time believing it myself, but it seems to be pretty common.
